Mission Statement: The purpose of the Women's
Resource Centre is to improve the status of women by acting as a
resource and referral centre. From a feminist perspective, we create
awareness of and respond to women's issues by advocating women's
equality.
Common Feminist Principles:
We are a Collective working toward systemic changes in society,
addressing economic, social, spiritual, and political issues affecting
women. We recognize and value cooperation, autonomy, individuality,
diversity and choice. We believe in being accessible and responsive to
the community. We promote the equality of all women.
Our Objective:
We are dedicated to improving the status of women in Kelowna and the
surrounding areas by promoting a feminist perspective in all our
endeavours.
